Mandurah Samphire

Creery Wetlands and Samphire Cove - Home of the Quenda also known as the Southern Brown Bandicoot

Virtual Tour

Welcome to Creery Wetlands Nature Reserve
The shallow waters and saltmarsh are important feeding and roosting areas for waterbirds, including shorebirds (waders) which migrate to this area every year from their breeding grounds in Northern Asia and Alaska. Upland areas shelter many animals, including a colony of Quendas, a native mammal.

Information, boardwalks and viewing platforms help you to understand and enjoy the wildlife of the area and the changing estuarine environment.

Caring for the Reserve
This reserve is managed by the Department of Conservation and Land Management. Facilities have been provided by Cedar Woods Properties Limited. For further information contact the Department of Conservation and Land Management’s Mandurah office (phone 9582 9333).
